News from BIJEAU
July 2010
My biggest news is that the BIJEAU jewelry can be purchased on-line now!
Yes, the site has a shopping cart and you can pay using PayPal. So, go and browse, shop for that special gift!
I had my first International Jewelry Bash – Thailand, Sarasota and Brazil. Three women, three different type of handmade jewelry.
I was a great success, great friends, great food and of course great jewelry. We had some beautiful pieces, Lapis from Thailand, even tiny Bikinis from Brazil with jewels on them…!
We will host another party next month, stay tuned for our schedule and some more news.
June 2010
I discovered a new item I can make jewelry with, sea beans. These are seeds, floating on the water and they eventually land on the beach.
Sea-beans (also known as drift seeds) are seeds and fruits that are carried to the ocean, often by freshwater streams and rivers, then drift with the ocean currents and (hopefully!) wash ashore.

I went to Englewood beach with my friend Tracey from Toronto. She is a great friend and one of my best customers and supporters. We decided to do a photo session on the beach.
I will post a few pictures later on and you can see “Bijeau at work”….looking and picking up pieces and trying to decide if they make the cut!
April 2010,
This month I am trying out the new drills my sister sent me from Switzerland. She works for a dentist and they usually discard the drills when they get dull. But for me they work great.
I can drill holes in my shell fragments. This makes it easy to add a bail and a cord or chain.
It makes the pieces look very delicate.

THis is one of my new pieces, very delicate...like lace
March 2010,
I am working with some interesting shell fragments. I made a piece called PINK BUTTERFLY. It is gorgeous…..everytime I wear it, I get compliments and people want one!
I never duplicate a piece, I can’t, even If I tried…..every piece is unique and I like that about my jewelry. You are guaranteed to wear a “one of a kind jewel” from BIJEAU.
February, 2010
Not much to report this month, I am walking the beach to find new jewels to try and create something else. I think I will try and work with shell fragments, some of them are beautiful. Only Mother Nature can shape them this way! Of course I am always looking for something special for my clientele.
January 2010 - Here I am again, continuing my story about the ocean. It is a different world down there. For those who have never snorkeled or done any SCUBA diving, believe me, it is stunning! Of course, you move like in slow motion and it is very quiet. The only noise you hear are the bubbles from your SCUBA gear, called the regulator.
Some waters are so clear, you feel like you are diving in a giant bottle of club soda! Wow, all the coral, the sea grass, the fish, the little crabs, the eels….what else could show up? You always have to be aware of what is around you. It is very easy to get disoriented under water. This is why you have to be able to read a compass.
More later….talk to you soon.
